Genetic diversity of inlet systems along non-tidal coasts: examples from the Black Sea and Sea of Azov (Ukraine)

چکیده

In the coastal zone of oceans, barriers are quite widespread. Within their limits, inlets periodically arise and exist for a certain time, which is great geological, hydrological, ecological, navigational significance. Along coasts where tidal fluctuations predominate, stand out, well studied in terms genesis, morpho-, hydro- litho-dynamics. Inland, semi-isolated marine basins, do not reach significant amplitude, called non-tidal seas. seas, channels develop, breaches or prorvas. Breaches often mentioned specialized literature along but they have been purposefully studied. this article, we tried to analyze conditions formation prorvas within seas based on many years research. We identified four hydrodynamic situations formed. The presented variety allows us identify describe genetic types prorvas: storm-generated, storm-surge-generated, wind-stress-generated, river-stress (fluvially induced). article first attempt characteristics breaches.

in current study, 63 samples of bat populations collected from differ regions were used for evaluating the geographic variations. twenty cranial and dental characters for traditional morphometric and landmarks method on the ventral, dorsal skull and mandible for geometry morphometric studies were used. statistical analyses of traditional morphometric and geometry morphometric data indicated low...

the effect of taftan pozzolan on the compressive strength of concrete in the environmental conditions of oman sea (chabahar port)

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...

Effects of gelatinous plankton on Black Sea and Sea of Azov fish and their food resources

We describe the effect of gelatinous plankton – Aurelia aurita and invaders Mnemiopsis leidyi and Beroe ovata – on fish (eggs, larvae, feeding, and stocks) in the Black Sea and Sea of Azov, based on field data and the relevant literature. Representatives of three ecological groups of fish were chosen as examples: planktivorous anchovy typical of warm-water conditions, planktivorous sprat of tem...

The Structure of Genetic Diversity in Eelgrass (Zostera marina L.) along the North Pacific and Bering Sea Coasts of Alaska.

Eelgrass (Zostera marina) populations occupying coastal waters of Alaska are separated by a peninsula and island archipelago into two Large Marine Ecosystems (LMEs). From populations in both LMEs, we characterize genetic diversity, population structure, and polarity in gene flow using nuclear microsatellite fragment and chloroplast and nuclear sequence data. An inverse relationship between gene...

Tsunami hazard in the Black Sea and the Azov Sea: a new tsunami catalogue

Data on tsunamis occurring in the Black Sea and the Azov Sea from antiquity up to the present were updated, critically evaluated and compiled in the standard format developed since the 90’s for the New European Tsunami Catalogue. Twenty nine events were examined but three of them, supposedly occurring in 557 AD, 815 AD and 1341 or 1343, were very likely falsely reported. Most of the remaining 2...
